George S. LeMieux served as Florida's 34th United States Senator in the 111th Congress. In the United States Senate, he served on the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, the Armed Services Committee, and the Special Committee on Aging.  He successfully passed legislation on health care fraud, export promotion, rating agency reform, small business promotion, as well as a treaty resolution on tactical nuclear weapons.

George served as Florida's deputy attorney general overseeing more than 400 attorneys and appearing before appellate courts on behalf of the State of Florida, including the United States Supreme Court. George also served as the governor's chief of staff overseeing all state agencies and operations.  In that role, he negotiated a gaming compact with the Seminole Tribe of Florida.

George is a trusted advisor for significant businesses, including Fortune 500 companies, their officers and boards, as well as high profile individuals in Florida and throughout the country. He focuses his practice on resolving business, and governmental disputes, and advising CEOs and C-suite executives on business, law and government from a local, state and national perspective. George serves as the chairman of the board of Gunster law firm.  He is the founder of the LeMieux Center for Public Policy at the Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Bibiana Potestad Candidate for State Representative District 119



Bibiana "Bibi" Potestad  is a product of District 119, she is the "hometown gal". She has lived in the district and attended the local schools. She graduated from John A. Ferguson Senior High, obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Barry University, and obtained her Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law.  She was admitted into the practice of law in Florida and is a practicing attorney.  BIbi has always been an active voice in our community since she was 16 years old. She has served in leadership roles and has advocated for our local schools and universities in Tallahassee. She has worked with many local groups and organizations to serve those who need it most in our community.  Bibi has worked for State Representatives and County Commissioners to ensure an adequate quality of life for the residents of West Kendall.  Bibi is now running for State Representative to represent her beloved community.


Rhonda Lopez Candidate for State Representative District 115



Rhonda Lopez is a small business owner committed to making a difference in people's lives.  She is ready to bring her results driven approach and wide-range experience to ensure that there is a real voice for district 115 that reflects our shared vision and values.  She has dedicated her time and expertise to a number of community organizations and institutions over the past 25 years including the American Cancer Society, the League Against Cancer, Miami Coalition to Support America's Heroes, the Cuban-American Veterans Association, the Jackson Hospital Foundation, Holtz Children's Hospital, Live Like Bella Foundation, sustaining member of the Junior League of Miami, Kinder Vision and many others. 

Rhonda is a graduate of the University of Alabama where she majored in Mass Communications and English.  She and her husband Jorge are the proud parents of two sons who are graduates of Miami's Christopher Columbus High School.  Rhonda and Jorge are longtime District 115 residents and reside in their Miami-Dade home of nearly 25 years. 

Joe Kaufman Candidate for Congressional District 23



Joe Kaufman was the 2016 Republican nominee for Congressional District 23.  He is an expert in the fields of counter-terrorism and foreign affairs.   Joe is the Chairman and CEO of Enersec USA dedicated to educating the public on issues related to national security and energy independence for America.  Joe is the co-founder of the Institute for an Open Society in the Middle East, a group seeking an end to the Iranian regime, and the co-founder and President of the Gabriel Institute, a group dedicated to helping the government of Jamaica fight crime and corruption. Joe has been featured on all major cable networks, including Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, PBS and C-SPAN.  Joe has been instrumental in getting terrorist charities shut down and terror-related individuals put behind bars. Exactly one month prior to the September 11 attacks, he predicted the attacks by stating in an article that "the 1993 World Trade Center bombing was no aberration" and that it would happen again.
